Sometimes I get responses back much much later (maybe even a few hours). Why does this happen?
Not really. Its a Freemium service. If you do not use it a lot, you do not need a subscription. However, if you are a power user, you will see a message in the chat window. This will show you a link to create a fresh subscription. We use stripe.com as our billing provider. The message would look like this:

You can type "/billing" in your chat window and see a link to manage your Yella subscription. This link will also permit you to change your payment method. The subscription management message would look like this:

Yes, Yella allows you to speak your queries. And sends the responses back as text & audio. So, for example if you speak in Spanish. The text response and the audio response will both be in Spanish.
You can do this by recording a voice memo within WhatsApp. Hold down the Mic button & start speaking.

Q: How can you switch languages for audio queries?
You don't have to do anything....just ask your questions in whatever language you choose. But fyi, if you texted Yella or spoke in English e.g And immediately started speking in say Kannada. ChatGPT will reply by sending text & we generate the audio for it in English (not Kannada ie). To avoid this, you can text "/clear" to Yella. This will clear Yella's conversation history. And now your queries in Kannada will be replied in Kannada. Try it...its pretty cool!
Q: Does Yella inside WhatsApp remember past conversation history?
Yes, Yella keeps track of your past queries to ChatGPT. So, you can ask "Where is Cambodia located?". The followup with "What is it's currency?". If you notice, "it" means "Cambodia". You dont have to repeat the context & can have a regular conversation with ChatGPT.
Q: Why does the iOS app Talk2Yella need my email address?
If you purchase any query packages in-app & later, for some reason, the app gets deleted. You can then use your saved email address. And restore any prior purchases in the Payments section of the app.

No, Talk2Yella supports all these languages. Talk2Yella uses whatever language appears as the default (first choice) in the list of languages in your iPhone's Settings. You can change this default language by following these instructions.
Q: Sometimes I get responses back much much later (maybe even a few hours). Why does this happen?
Ah, that's actually WhatsApp buffering+retries at work here. When a user question fails in the backend (on Yella infra ie), then Yella maybe has not sent a response back to WhatsApp. So, WhatsApp would retry this request later. This delyaed response is then forwarded by WhatsApp to your phone.
